Bristow's Packaging

Ater spending a lifetime in the Confectionery Industry and achieving much (including the successful introduction of Swiss milk chocolate into the UK in 1900), at the ripe old age of 66 Charles Sadler Bristow founded Bristow's of Devon. His son George joined him in the business and they concentrated on producing Butterscotch and soon became the UK's largest producer of fudge. The business quickly grew and took over the neighbouring firm of John Cleave & Son. The company continued to grow and a new factory was built in 1950, the year before Charles Bristow died. In the 1990s Bristow's bought out two other West Country confectionery companies, Pollards and Tuckers of Totnes.
